We love working with local businesses, and we also really, really love good beer. You'd think we were accepting a marriage proposal from Tina Fey when Saint Arnold Brewery, our neighbor, and Texas' oldest craft brewery, called about taking on their packaging design. Pretty sure, we've never said yes so fast.
Saint Arnold Brewery decided to turn Weedwacker (previously a limited-edition "Movable Yeast" offering based on the Lawnmower recipe) into a permanent part of their beerfolio, and we went on our way turning the Lawnmower label design into an underlandscaped version of itself.
As things do when you're in a new relationship and there is beer involved, things started moving fast. Saint Arnold was ready to release DR9 as a seasonal pumpkin stout (Pumpkinator), and we were happy to oblige (see if you can find the hidden message). Since then we've helped Saint Arnold bring a variety of their labels to market, including Sailing Santa, Endeavour and Homefront IPA.
There's lots more in the works with these guys, most of which we can't talk about just yet. Stay tuned for updates.

When Houston restaurant duo Charles Clark and Grant Cooper were set to open their newest offering, they came to us to turn Acumen Design's branding into a website and digital communications. We were stoked to work with the combination of Clark Cooper Concepts and the folks at Acumen, and think the results speak for themselves.
Because the concept for Brasserie 19 was a modern reinvention of a traditional French brasserie, we focused on a very clean design where the food was always front and center. We managed food, space and editorial photo shoots and adapted our website design to single-subject email and e-newsletter templates.
Developing our initial engagement into a long term relationship, we have since been asked to duplicate the success of the Brasserie 19 project for the other two Clark Cooper restaurants, mainstay Ibiza and another new offering COPPA. We also recently launched a site for Clark Cooper Concepts itself, highlighting the owners, the company’s philosophy and all of their restaurants.

When Azur Salons, one of our longest standing clients, decided to open another location, Azur West | A Shu Uemura Salon, they took our previous definition of a full-service client to another level.
As with any business opening a re-branded second location, Azur Salons needed everything, and we were happy to oblige. We helped them create a cohesive brand image across both locations, working closely with mega-brand Shu Uemura, to maintain cross-brand consistency. This included a new logo, exterior signage and a full print collateral package. We even created a sweet two-in-one business card for the owners, allowing them to use one card but highlight either of the salons. Believe it or not, we even installed most of their interior signage and graphics.
With the launch of a new location in Houston’s West Ave development, it came time for an overall web property facelift for azursalon.com and the launch of a new site at azurwest.com. The two refer to one another, and like the consistency of the service and quality of experience you find at each salon, offer the user similar user experiences, but each with its own unique moments of charm.
No appointment-based service business should be without a mobile friendly site, and we did just that. Straight to the point, we designed the UI around what mobile users were most inclined to do: book online, look for directions, or browse services. The result is two sub brands, distinct but consistent across devices.

Once all the hard work and construction were done, of course Azur West wanted to throw a party. In close partnership with our sisters at Colab, we made it happen and then some.
We put together minimalist black-on-black invites, event signage and art directed the whole event, from the model’s kimonos to their makeup. When we couldn’t find just the right fixtures or kimonos, we even custom designed and produced them. Colab rocked the event planning, invite lists, PR and event day logistics, generating 300+ smiling faces and multiple editorial placements.

Tech Cal Recorders manufactures pressure and temperature recorders for the Oil and Gas pipeline industry.
When Tech Cal approached us about a website to highlight their new chart recorder design, we had seen Pelican® cases everywhere, but never converted into an industrial measuring device. We thought, “These things are badass.” By focusing on the single product and highlighting its attributes in a no-BS way, the site speaks directly to Tech Cal’s oilfield customer base like a sexy, web-based roughneck (yep, you read that right).

Exotic destinations, beautiful terrain and worlds oceans away is the definition of why we do what we do.
Extreme destination photographer Hunter Gorham was in search of a team to take his images to the walls of homes worldwide, and what better way than through an interactive online store designed with the buyer in mind. With the makings of a global lifestyle brand in tow, the site design integrates products with associated videos, size and set options and the ability to view that image hanging on a wall in an actual room. We’re not stopping there though, we’re pushing the limits of Magento to bring the user build and drag-and-drop functionality for a truly customized purchasing experience.

Another of our “full service” industrial clients, Formers International manufactures bag forming assemblies for the snack food and paper goods industries. Think Frito-Lay and Georgia Pacific.
Our initial engagement with Formers International was to design them a corporate website, which included an industry-first online ordering system attached to a giant product database and fully integrated with Salesforce.com. Since then, we have taken over all print collateral, print ad, digital communications and tradeshow strategy and design for them, including branding for their newest subsidiary OrbX Fabrication.

Greystone Alloys is another of our “full service” clients, who specializes in high-temp alloy recycling.
When Greystone alloys came to us wanting a website that would legitimize them as a company in an often illegitimate industry, we knew we were going to have to think outside the box. Utilizing one of our amazing photog partners, we focused on artistic photography that was not only engaging, but showed the scale of Greystone’s operations and facilities. We currently handle all print collateral, print ad, digital communications and tradeshow strategy and design for these guys. Needless to say, they keep us pretty busy.

We create and market media-agnostic brands and help existing brands find their foothold in an ever-changing, and increasingly digital, business landscape. Whether pre-launch identity development, a new website, email marketing strategy, print collateral or all of the above, we create measurable results, in a variety of media, for each and every client.
We’re a tight group. A family of sorts. We like to put smart people in the same room and collaborate on every step of every project. By engaging differing opinions, from strategy to copy to design, we strive to create the best end product possible, custom tailored to your needs. More brains = Better work.
